In Cambridge, we raise funds through two main events: the CNY Charity Run and the Chinese New Year Ball (CNY Ball). Both events attract students in Cambridge from all backgrounds, and even students from other universities in the UK, as well as scholars interested in Chinese culture.
The Chinese New Year Ball is held in the Cambridge Guildhall every year, entertaining around 250 guests with delicious Chinese food and incredible performances.
The Charity Run is held through the centre of Cambridge, with nearly 200 students participating and wearing our specially designed T-shirts.
There is also a CNY Casino service, which works at the May Balls of different colleges in Cambridge, each of which hosts around 3,000 guests every year.
作为华新基金的最大资金筹集方，剑桥大学华新社团每年举办两个大型筹款活动, 分别是十月中旬的慈善长跑及二月的春节舞会。这两个筹款活动在剑桥,甚至英国其他地区的学生、华人群体中都具有广泛的影响力,且深得许多渴望了解中国传统文化的英国学生的喜爱。
年度春节晚会
在剑桥市中心Guildhall举办的年度春节晚会是每年最为大众所期待的活动之一。每年约有250名来自英国各地的学生及学者参与。华新社团为广大华人学子准备了精采绝伦且极具中国文化气息的歌舞表演,以及来自家乡的美食，务必令来宾感受到喜庆洋洋的中国年气氛。另外，我们藉此机会向来宾介绍本社团所经营的助学项目，令来宾更明白及支持本社团的筹款活动。
慈善长跑
慈善长跑在剑桥市中心举行，每年约有200名剑桥大学生参与。华新社团为每位参与者提供我们特制的T裇衫，以期在长跑的过程中，让更多的人发现并了解我们的社团。
模拟赌场
每年,本社团组织的模拟赌场于剑桥各学院的年终舞会提供专业服务。每年都能吸引到大约3000人左右的宾客。
